Clement Faugier Chestnuts 15.5oz - French Ardeche Marrons Entiers Cooked
These are delicious meaty French chestnuts from Ardeche, in southeast France, by Clement Faugier.
Drain the water and use these whole peeled chestnuts for stuffings or other preparations.
Of course, you may also find yourself eating them straight from the jar!
Once widespread in France, chestnut trees, or chataigniers, are now becoming scarce as land has been given over to more profitable crops like grapes. Today the number of regions producing chestnuts has dwindled - Ardeche, Corsica, and Limousin are now the principal producers of chestnuts.
These chestnuts by Faugier are imported from France.
